Why You Need A Tie Neck Top and Dress

There are styles that I am continually drawn to and buy repeatedly. One of those styles is a tie neck top! Every year I buy tie neck tops and dresses.

Last fall I took a stand! That sounds more dramatic than what it is. Basically, I decided that I wouldn’t get swept up in the fall fashion hype and buy anything and everything. You can see that post here I wasn’t going to buy items that I would end up selling or just not wearing.

I got better about narrowing down what I should purchase along with deciding what I wouldn’t buy. For example, I paid attention to the items I am more likely to wear. I definitely wear all of the tie neck tops and dresses I own. Here’s why:

Cuales son las modas que siempre te pones? Para mi es una blusa o vestido con el cuello amarrado. Me fijé que tengo muchas cosas con esta estilo. Me recuerda a Joan de ese programa, Mad Men

The Tie Neck is Timeless

I like that I can wear this style year after year since it isn’t trendy. It’s nice when a piece can still be worn a year from when you bought it. Also, I think a tie neck top or dress also adds a classic and feminine feel to a look.

Versatility

Next, this style of top can be worn with a skirt, jeans, or pants. You can do different types of skirts as well. I wear mine with a-line skirts but you can do a pencil skirt too.

Tie Necks Work for Different Body Types

Finally, I find that since this neckline can be tied to your liking, it’s flattering for pretty much any body type. I think that you need just to watch the fit.
