I’ve mentioned that I used to stay away from high necklines as they weren’t considered “flattering” for curves. I knocked that off about a couple years ago.
If the fit is right, the neckline doesn’t matter as much.
If the fit is right, the neckline doesn’t matter as much. So glad I figured that out, or I would have passed up this dress.
And that’s what we are Mixing Up in this post!
As usual, I found a cute dress from Target’s Who What Wear line. I just walk by the clothing every time I’m there. Just in case there are some new arrivals. Found this mock neckline midi dress and had to try it on!
What I like about this dress is that although the neckline is high, it’s comfortable. So I don’t feel restricted by it. It’s not too high as it is a mock neckline.
Wearing the right size in these types of dresses helps you get the right fit.
Wearing the right size in these types of dresses helps you get the right fit. So, I went up a size to wear a 2XL instead of an XL.
I also like the a-line cut of this dress. I can throw on a denim jacket, like I did here, or just wear it without anything.
I wore this outfit when I took my cousin from Dominican Republic to brunch at The Hart and the Hunter on Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles. That’s what this dramatic couch picture business is about.
Back to this dress, the print is a bit different than my other stuff from Who What Wear as it has yellow. Love it! I have been into yellow lately. I added a pop of red with my heels just for something a little different.
…Because getting dressed (and living life) should feel good!
