Tie a Shirt Over a Dress

I like to pair up different items to create new outfits. One way I do this is by taking a dress and throwing a shirt over it. Tie it up and done!

And, that’s what we are Mixing Up in this post.

I have this flowy dress from Ann Taylor that I bought a few seasons ago.

Adding a tied shirt over it adds just a bit of structure. That helps with flowy pieces to create a clean silhouette.

This shirt is a great basic. That allows me to match it up with pieces that are colorful or unique.

Since this shirt is a tunic length, tying it was easy. It’s from Old Navy and I’m wearing an XL. This shirt sells for $26.94.

…Because getting dressed (and living life) should feel good!
