One Way to Layer in the Winter

The dilemma: It’s cold outside so you need to bundle up.. but you are sick of wearing the same sweaters. My solution: gather some different pieces in your closet and layer up!

This means changing up how you wear certain pieces by layering them. Having Curves throws another “curve” ball into the mix (the pun was intended).

That’s what we are “Mixing Up” in this mini post.

What’s tricky about layering with Curves is trying to not add too much volume. In other words, you don’t want your clothes to make you look like a football player.

To avoid looking bulky, I opt for layering thinner pieces.

This pullover sweater is from H and M. It’s from last winter. It is from their Logg line. I’m wearing a Large. I got a few sweaters from this line.

The next layer is a denim shirt from Target Merona. I have a few of their denim shirts. I am wearing a 2xl. There is no stretch in these shirts so I go a size up.

Last up are my pants also from Target Merona. I own a few of these ankle pants. Super comfy and under $30. I always go with the Modern fit for these pants. I have tried the other fits and this one seems to work the best for me. I go a size up in pants, skirts, and shorts for this brand. My pants are a size 16.

So take a look in your closet, you probably have a sweater that you can re-mix to create a new outfit…

… Because getting dressed (and living life) should feel good!
